Julie Chen Moonves, who was among the first hosts and moderators of The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award award-winning talk show) was back on the air August 5 for the 22nd edition. She was a writer before she became a host, but her love of writing was for the written word. Actually, the show won her an Emmy. She also won an Emmy for hosting an exceptional entertainment talk show. The Talk is a show which examines the current news by having five host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS NewsThe Morning Show on a weekday The Early Show in 2002 as well as in 2010, before becoming host of the talk show. In the past, she served as CBS Morning News anchor and hosts on The Early Show. Following the attacks of 9/11, Chen Moonves tracked down the father and leader hijacker to give an exclusive interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers like former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the Queen Rania of Jordan and former Defence Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). While completing her last academic year at the college, she was an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as producer for ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news channel). She started her career as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night news program Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among Moonves' journalistic idols. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots.
